Poor Health
"Today we have the Sickness
Industy?"
1. Pharmaceutical Companies:
Driven by the law of economics the pursuit of gain. They are driven NOT TO CURE, only to emasculate symptoms
and that is what they have accomplished. For to cure, would be to destroy their
own customer base. The spiraling expenses (pricing 600 times the cost) are destroying
"health care" in the U.S. Anyone hear the issue "drugs for the
elderly" in the recent presidential campaign?
2. Insurance Companies:
Driven by the same law of economics, they are only
concerned with your health during your term of employment (anywhere from 3-5
years on the average). So, they have no interest in long term healing either,
only short-term fixes. Again, you will not get well, only last your term out
at the job. Then you have a preexisting condition and become another uninsurable.
No attempts are being made at long term solutions.
3. Medical Industry as a Whole:
We spent $1.3 trillion last year in this industry;
if the rate of growth continues, by the year 2015, medical expenses will be
greater than Gross National Product!
1/7th of our economy is directly involved in the Sickness Industry
1/7th of all people in the U.S. are employed in the Sickness Industry
1/7th of every dollar you earn is spent on the Sickness Industry
4. Baby Boomers:
76 million baby boomers (now 36-54) will retire by 2011 and this will cause the current medical industry to go
bankrupt, unable financially to handle this load.
